If we can just get out of our heads when worried thoughts are plaguing us, life can feel so much easier.
Those of us who may be in the habit of repelling physical aspects of ourselves can get more and more stuck in our heads. Unfortunately, this is where anxiety happens. “Getting into your body” is a concept that may be uncomfortable or even undesirable at first, but is on the path to fully accepting yourself physically.
So how do I get into my body?
Getting out of your head and into your body will make your overall anxiety level go down when you do it consistently. Luckily, there are lots of ways of doing it. Some jobs keep us stuck in our heads all day (nearly anything that keeps you dealing with words or numbers on a computer most of the time is probably keeping you stuck in your head) which makes doing a few of these before, during and after work really helpful to our overall health and sense of well-being.
